Chief Lelooska Lodge

Yesterday I went on a field trip to Chief Lelooska Lodge in Washington. It took us an hour on the bus to drive there. When we got there they took us into an authentic "Long House" where the indians used to live. Lelooska was given his name at age 12 when he was adopted by the Nez Perce. It means "He Who Cuts Against Wood with a Knife" and has become a treasured family name symbolic of their work.
